An SOS Plea for the Missing Christmas Tree of Angels to Honor Izabella Loving and Others
“We are putting a plea out for the return of the Lemmon Valley Community Christmas Tree of Angels. This tree has no money value,” Summer Moore wrote to us today after the community decorated tree went missing over the Thanksgiving weekend.
She sent us photos of community members decorating it on the evening of November 29th in the parking lot of the Get Roasted Mobile Coffee at 9251 Lemmon Drive.
“People came out to light this tree so bright the angels above... Swinging from the stars ... Looking down ... Clapping their hands... Singing in glee ... Blowing angel kisses ... Could see our love,” she wrote indicating it was started in the memory of Izabella Loving, whose death in April at her family’s Cold Springs home has now been ruled a homicide, with both her parents still in jail now facing a scheduled February court hearing.
“Along the way we learned of many angels; in the valley ; leaving us violently or still missing. We had no idea there were so many.
Some families of these angels no longer live here but heard about the tree and mailed us mementos. Some wanted to stay private, others came out to put personal items of their loved ones on the tree…. socks, a pacifier, a mini rocking horse, a Santa star, baby’s first and second xmas bulbs with names of many beautiful angel souls,” Moore added.
She said it took two men to carry the tree, and that everything was glued to it.
“Our village came together. We lit the tree up. The next morning a volunteer; going to secure the tree; even better; discovered the whole tree was gone (with photo of what was left in upper left of our collage). The WHOLE tree. This is shameful. Human beings don't do this. We don't care who you are. Whatever reasons you had. Stay anonymous. Do the right thing, decent thing, the only thing. Tell us where the tree is. It’s not about the tree. It’s about what’s on the tree. It had to take more than one person. We are asking all of you to reach inside your heart. You have a chance to be a real hero. We know you can do this. Tell us where the tree is,” Moore concluded in her message, saying a police report has already been filed.
