Hunter Goodbear Officially Identified as Teenager Killed in Reno Sideshow

Hunter Goodbear has been officially identified as the 19-year-old who was killed in south Reno early Sunday at a sideshow gone horribly wrong.

The Lexus car which hit him was located in Fallon yesterday while a person of interest has been identified as the possible driver.

The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office called the manner of death an “accident,” resulting from “complications of multiple blunt force injuries due to a pedestrian-sedan collision."

Goodbear had been in the news previously as a runaway from Carson City who was located in Peoria, Arizona, when he was 14 in October 2020.

A gofundme has been started in his honor with the above photo.

“First, we want to say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for the overwhelming love, comforting messages, and support that has been shown to Hunter’s family. Every message, every memory shared, every prayer, and kind word has meant more than we can ever express. It has reminded us that Hunter was surrounded by people who truly loved him, people whose lives he touched in ways unimaginable. Hunter was the kind of person who protected the people he cared about. He loved deeply and always made sure those around him were safe. Losing him has left a pain we can’t put into words, and our hearts will forever have that void,” it indicates.

“As many of you know, his family is now facing not only the emotional weight of this loss, but the financial burden that comes with it. We are asking for help, only if you are able. Donations will go toward medical bills, funeral costs, and supporting his family as they try to get through something no family should ever have to experience. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this with others helps more than you know.”
