Person of Interest Identified and Car Located Following Deadly Reno Sideshow Crash

The Reno PD released this photo today saying it had located the suspected vehicle involved in the killing of a 19-year-old at a sideshow in south Reno early Sunday.

A statement from today indicated the vehicle, a white Lexus IS300 4 door sedan, had been found late last night in Fallon.

The press release added that a person of interest has been identified as the driver during the crash, which happened with the teenager jumping in front of the Lexus doing circles and then being hit.

Despite repeated requests, and friends and family identifying the teenager, the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release a name.

The statement from today says the investigation is ongoing and that Secret Witness tips “regarding the vehicle and possible driver have been incredibly helpful.”

“Sideshows put lives at risk. They endanger drivers, spectators, and everyone sharing  the road. We have zero tolerance for this reckless behavior, and our officers will take  enforcement action against anyone participating, spectating and promoting these  events,” said Reno Police Chief Kathryn Nance in an earlier statement.
