Is the Era of Robert Beadles Trying to Influence Washoe County Politics Over?

Is the era of the right wing, high profile, controversial donor Robert Beadles trying to influence Washoe County politics in a waning phase, and how would you evaluate its effect?

Beadles was prominent on the local political scene shortly before, during and after the pandemic, pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into local and statewide causes and races, including recall efforts, lawsuits, PACs and candidates.

According to recent expenses and contribution reports though, he contributed just $5,800 to Silver Springs based James Scott Keller, who is running for a Lyon County Commissioner post, and $5,000 for Dayton based Ken Gray, who is running for State Assembly District 39, in late February, in the latest available filings from the start of this year.

Last year, Beadles who calls himself Crypto Beadles on his LinkedIn donated $10,000 to Republican Governor Joe Lombardo but nothing else appears then on his contribution ledger.

The most recent post from the Operation Sunlight website which was initially focused on reshaping Washoe County politics is from November 2024, calling the 2024 Nevada election rigged.

The PAC with the same name filed for $10K of contributions from April 15th 2024 to the end of 2024, with the paperwork filed in 2026, while the Franklin Project with his name on it, had zero dollars in contributions for its report filed yesterday for the first three months of this year, while expenses were for $13.8K all to Tecuani LLC out of Stockton.

Five months ago Beadles was promoted on the America Happens, Blood Money with Vem Miller podcast discussing allegations disputing how elections have been organized in Nevada.

Beadles was last in the news in November saying he hired a private investigator to track outgoing Reno mayor Hillary Schieve several years ago. His LinkedIn lists him as President of Monarch Token based out of the Bahamas.

A lawsuit he had filed concerning the 2022 election ended with him and his wife depositing a cashier’s check for $106,000 into Washoe County’s general fund after a Carson City District Judge said his arguments had no basis in law, and his petitions were repeatedly rejected by the Nevada Supreme Court.
